The manual at Managing S.M.A.R.T. Tests | TrueNAS Documentation Hub mentions how to set up S.M.A.R.T. testing. Unfortunately, the manual makes assumptions that are not clear. For Running Automatic S.M.A.R.T. Tests, the instruction starts out “go to Data Protection and click ADD…” However, the assumption is that the reader knows what “go to Data Protection” means. I have traversed the menu several times, and have not found a “Data Protection” that I can “go to.”
